SOLITUDE

After much anticipation, the sophmore album from Tame Impala will be called Lonerism and will released October 9th in the states. One of the tracks from the album is already available and you can listen to it here.

The track Apocalypse Dreams already reveals what we already new, Lonerism will be quite a departure from Innerspeaker. Infact, leading man Kevin Parker calls the upcoming album a "Prequel" to their debut album, "quite a childish album, almost like a persona who turns into the one from Innerspeaker. That's kinda what I hear anyway" - Kevin Parker.

The upcoming album, as reported here previously, will have a strong synth presence as well as much more of a pop feel. Despite being a departure from Innerspeaker, it seems the subject matter of being lonely isn't exactly new. The site is called "Solitude is Bliss", a song from the first album, touches on that subject matter.
